About Our School

Sonoran Sky Elementary has served families in the Paradise Valley School District's eastern boundaries since 1994. Sonoran Sky offers Kindergarten through 6th grade classes.

Sonoran Sky takes immense pride in being a beautiful school in Scottsdale, Arizona. The students, staff, and parent community are passionate and dedicated to making Sonoran Sky a shining beacon of excellence in education. 

The staff personalizes instruction for each student by utilizing various techniques such as flex groups, multiple intelligences, tiered lessons, curriculum compacting, project-based learning, and individualized learning plans. 

Unique offerings include self-contained gifted programs, cluster grouping, and honors pullout in reading and math, the PILOTS Leadership Program in 6th grade, Wonderland Garden outdoor classroom, Sing America Sing Patriotic Musical in 5th grade, Artist in Residency programs, band, strings, chorus, and a comprehensive enrichment program before and after school.

The Sonoran Sky PTO offers a specialized garden curriculum, along with an outdoor classroom and garden space called "Wonderland." These special areas enhance the Sonoran Sky experience and take advantage of the beautiful desert weather.

Sonoran Sky has been awarded the Arizona Educational Foundation A+ school for years. It has also been designated an "A" school using the Accountability Achievement Profile from the Arizona Department of Education. This achievement designates an excellent level of performance for student achievement and individual student learning growth.
